Performance is
a system.
We mould the system.

Institua is a structured academic assistance institution for Grade 10, 11 and 12 students. We diagnose how students think, correct what is broken, and build consistent performance over time.

WHY MOST TUTORING DOESN'T WORK

More support.
Same results.

If the method doesn't change, the results won't change.

So we start with the method.

Most parents arrive at Institua having already done everything recommended — private tutors, school support, online resources. The marks have not moved.

The reason is consistent: additional tutoring focused on content delivery does not change how a student works. It adds more input into a system that is not converting that input into performance.

The problem is not the amount of support. The problem is that no one has identified and corrected the actual method the student uses to think through problems. That is what Institua does.

DIAGNOSIS

We identify the specific thinking patterns limiting performance. Not general feedback — a precise breakdown.

WHAT INSTITUA IS

Not just tutoring.
A structured academic system.

Institua identifies how a student currently thinks and works, then systematically corrects it — so their performance becomes predictable and controlled.

CORRECTION

Sessions correct the method, not just the content. Each session builds on the last to ensure consistency.

TRACKING

Progress is documented. Parents receive regular reports showing exactly what changed in their child's performance.

The Process

Four Steps. One System.

01

Diagnostic Session

A structured 45-minute assessment in which we observe how a student approaches real problems. We intervene not to teach, but to understand the patterns producing inconsistent results.

Improvement Plan

A personalised roadmap built from the diagnostic. Specific gaps. Specific targets. Structured session sequence.

Structured Sessions

One-on-one sessions in-person or via Pencil Space. Each session has a defined focus, a correction layer, and a documented close.

Progress Reporting

Regular detailed & structured reports to parents. Before vs now. What changed. What remains. Visible evidence.

The Starting Point

Every student begins with a diagnostic.

The diagnostic session is not an intake form or casual introduction. It is a structured 45-minute assessment in which we observe how a student approaches real problems. We watch how they begin. Whether they plan or guess. Where they hesitate. We intervene not to teach, but to understand the patterns producing inconsistent results. By the end, we know precisely what is wrong and can present exactly what needs to change.

The diagnostic is complimentary. It costs nothing to finally understand the problem.

We had tried two tutors before Institua. The difference was that they explained what was going wrong in his thinking — not just his answers. His Maths HL mark improved by 22 percentage points in one term.

2024 — 2025 RESULTS

12

Distinctions across Mathematics, AP Mathematics and Sciences

These results are the visible outcome of a method that identifies individual thinking errors and corrects them consistently over time. Each distinction represents a student treated as a system, not a score.

My daughter was doing everything right. The problem was her method, not her effort. After the diagnostic we finally understood what needed to change. She finished the year with a distinction in AP Maths.

INSTITUA IS BUILT FOR

Grade 10, 11 and 12 on IB, Cambridge or IEB: Math and/or Science

Students who work consistently but marks don't reflect effort

High-capacity students with inconsistent performance

Students quietly losing ground before it becomes a crisis

Families who have tried other support and need something structurally different

Parents who want visible explainable progress

INSTITUA IS NOT FOR

Students unwilling to engage with structure

Families seeking only a quick fix for one test or exam without wanting to grow past the root level problems after

Parents whose primary criterion is lowest price, and not level of service

Homework supervision rather than method correction

Situations with no willingness to follow a system

THE INSTITUA STANDARD

Every tutor. One method.

Institua tutors are selected and trained for the ability to slow down, diagnose clearly and correct method rather than content. A tutor at Institua is onboarded based on their potential to then connect and explain why something works or does not — over and above their incredible results and content understanding.

Consistency AND brilliance.

Method over instinct.

Correction over repetition.

If a student is not improving, we say so — and we adjust before the pattern continues.
