Strong command of senior‑phase maths and/or science (IB, Cambridge, or IEB)
Experience working with Grades 8–12 learners
Comfortable with structure, planning, and accountability
Reliable, professional, and calm under pressure
Based in Johannesburg or able to work reliably online

A short interview and method overview. We discuss how we work and see if you buy into our diagnostic-first approach.

A demo lesson or problem-solving review. We need to see your ability to simplify complexity and correct thinking errors.

Do I need prior tutoring experience?
While experience is highly valued, we look for intellectual calibre and the ability to adopt the Institua method above all else.
Do you provide materials?
Yes. We have a set of core structured materials and diagnostic frameworks so you aren't reinventing the wheel for every student.
Can I tutor part-time?
Most of our tutors work part-time while completing postgraduate studies or working in specialised technical fields.
Do you only work with Johannesburg-based tutors?
While our physical hub is in Johannesburg, we work with high-calibre tutors across South Africa who can reliably tutor online via Pencil Space.
